Welcome to the online home of
Coyote George
Musician, Minstrel and Storyteller

We're saddened to report that Coyote George passed away of complications related to heart failure in the evening of April 21, 2008. George was known for having a heart big enough to share with all. It's ironic that, in the end, it was that particular organ that failed him. We'll post memorial and other information on this site when it is known.

Next time you hear a coyote howl, may you think of George, loving husband, comrade, joyful trickster and musician nonpareil. He was loved by all fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

Coyote George For over 35 years, Coyote George has played throughout the U.S. and in a number of other countries on the planet. His unique 'old-timey' style and stringed instrument virtuosity make his personal performances a treat for all ages.

From his own one-man shows to appearances with his current musical adventurers, Poor Man's Jug Band, everyone loves the music of Coyote George. His repertoire, which also includes a number of original tunes, spans from before World War I to the present day.

By itself, that would make his performances into events to delight audiences of all ages, from grandparents to grandchildren and everyone in between. Add in Coyote George's musical vibrance and folksy storytelling, and it's a combination that brings rousing accolades wherever he appears. Kids also love that Coyote George also looks, as you can see from the photo, a lot like Santa Claus!

We invite you to see some video clips from the full-length indie feature about Coyote George's band, Poor Man's Jug Band, as well as to check out the music from some of his CDs.

Coyote George made his home in the NW corner of Washington State. For more information, use this email link.
